The Woman of His Dreams

Image
Raymond hesitated for a few seconds before knocking on his roommate's bedroom door. Things had been getting increasingly strange over the past few months. It had all started when David, desperate to overcome his shyness and learn how to talk to girls, decided to rummage through a box of old things Raymond had brought back from his sister's house. Inside, he found a self-help audiobook with a peculiar title: Becoming Anyone's Dream Woman. Raymond had tried to warn him at the time, laughing as he said, "Dude, just listen to it and mentally replace the word 'woman' with 'man' whenever it gives you advice." He assumed his friend would take the hint. He didn't. Little by little, David's demeanor began to change. He became calmer, more serene, and developed an almost obsessive sense of vanity. He bought expensive cosmetics, let his hair grow down to his shoulders, and started showing off long, perfectly manicured nails.

The In-Law Disguise

Bea’s master bedroom felt like a trap. Arthur, trapped inside a young woman’s body and wearing a silk robe that barely reached her knees, paced nervously back and forth. His slender fingers trembled as he held the phone to his ear. The call rang three times before Bea finally answered. — Dad? Any progress with the lab’s magnetic aligner? — Bea’s voice came through the phone, except it carried the deep, gravelly tone of Arthur’s own voice. — Bea! Forget the damn aligner for five minutes! — Arthur whispered, his words coming out in a high-pitched, panicked voice he still hadn’t learned to control. — We have a gigantic problem here. Luke. — What about Luke? Did he figure something out?

Alejandro's Glass Bride

Detective Carter knew he was playing a dangerous game, but he had never imagined just how large the board really was. For months, he had followed clues leading through an invisible empire until every trail converged on a single name: Don Alejandro . The man wasn't merely the head of an international cartel. He was a shadowy figure who controlled judges, politicians, and police officers alike. Alejandro had eyes and ears on every street corner in the city. And Carter had become an intolerable thorn in the magnate's side. Carter's mistake was believing he was safe inside his own apartment. On a rainy night, the lock didn't stand a chance. Three armed men in perfectly tailored suits subdued him before he could even reach his holster. There were no gunshots. No brutal beating. Only the cold glint of a needle and a chemical substance that made the detective's world disappear within seconds.

The Spell That Revealed His Love -

Paul started getting worried when Andrew stopped answering his messages. After a few hours, he decided to check on his friend and see if he had managed to find a solution to the whole mess. He had. Or, at least, he had found something that looked like one. Paul knocked on the bedroom door. — Andrew? You okay? — Just come in! Paul opened the door and immediately stopped. For a few seconds, he was so surprised that he completely forgot what he had intended to say. Andrew was lying face-down on the bed, flipping through a huge spellbook. The problem was that Andrew didn't exactly look like Andrew anymore. The spell had completely transformed his body, and apparently every attempt to recover some trace of his old appearance only made things worse. At that moment, he was wearing a white satin outfit that definitely hadn't been his choice.

The Illusion of Appearances

Sometimes, the greatest lie isn’t what is said — it’s the body that looks far too familiar to be questioned. “But I just told you — it’s me… your brother-in-law.” The words came out in a rush, tangled with panic. Gary ran a hand through his hair — too long, too soft — a gesture that no longer truly belonged to him. “My sister and I switched bodies after my lunatic father decided to test one of his experiments,” he went on, almost begging to be believed. “Now he’s trapped in my mother’s body… and I’m here. In hers.” The shock in his voice clashed violently with the unsettling calm of the man standing in front of him. His sister’s husband simply smirked and began unbuttoning his shirt, as if that revelation were nothing more than an inconvenient detail — not a logical earthquake about to shatter reality. “It doesn’t matter what you think you know,” he replied, his voice far too steady to ignore. “What matters is what everyone sees.” He stepped closer, eyes fixed on a body he knew...

Who are you trying to fool?

“Ethan, for the last time,” Richard insisted, hands moving as if he were trying to push a point through the air, “the witness protection program is the one that chooses everything — new identities, new address, new jobs… all of it. I don’t have any control over these decisions, son.” “Dad, come on,” Ethan replied, giving him a doubtful stare. “You really think you’re not getting too comfortable in this new role? You’re seriously going to that ‘happy hour’ dressed like that?” “Of course I am,” Richard answered, smoothing the front of his outfit with surprising naturalidade. “We need to blend in perfectly. Until everything is resolved, our lives are still at risk. Once we testify, then we can go back to our normal routines.” Ethan sighed and looked away. “Dad… I don’t think that’s how it’s going to work. I overheard that woman — the one who took us to that crazy machine that gave us these ‘new identities.’ She said the procedure was a one-way trip. And considering the kind of crimin...
