The Hostile Takeover

Hanna thought she had executed the perfect plan.

Using an ancient spell, she had transferred her essence into the body of her millionaire boss and condemned him to his former life as a secretary. For Jacob, the first few weeks had been a nightmare of high heels, subordination, and the humiliation of watching someone else sign his paychecks.

But the business world had taught him to be cold.

He wasn't going to accept defeat that easily.

Using the access he still had to the company's electronic systems and networks, Jacob began tracing the digital footsteps of his former employee. It didn't take long to find what he was looking for. Buried in the private server's history were records of her visits to obscure forums and the download of a digital grimoire.

It hadn't been a cosmic accident.

It had been a corporate coup.

At the end of the workday, Hanna, now wearing Jacob's expensive tailored suit, entered the executive office and stopped dead.

Sitting at the end of the conference table was her own reflection.

Jacob was wearing a fitted leopard-print blouse and impossibly high golden heels, the kind Hanna had never dared to buy for herself. He calmly adjusted his long blonde hair and looked at her with the cold eyes of someone accustomed to commanding an empire.

That expression had never belonged to that young, delicate face before.

Before Hanna could react, throw him out, or even demand an explanation, Jacob turned a tablet toward her.

With a calm but firm voice, he began laying out every piece of evidence: every access record, every link, and every detail of her carefully constructed deception.

Panic seized Hanna inside her former boss's body.

If any of this became public, the entire scheme would collapse. She could lose everything, and perhaps even end up behind bars.

She had expected fury.

She had expected threats of lawsuits.

She had even expected a desperate demand for a reversal spell.

Instead, Jacob simply smiled and crossed his legs, the black tights completing an image of calculated elegance.

"Well then... let's discuss the division of assets," Jacob said, tapping the tip of one golden heel against the floor in a steady rhythm. "I want sixty percent of the company's private investments legally transferred into my new name."

He paused.

"And, more importantly, you're going to destroy that grimoire. I want an absolute guarantee that there will be no reversal."

Hanna blinked in disbelief.

"You... you don't want your body back?" she stammered, adjusting the jacket that suddenly felt far too heavy on her shoulders.

Jacob gave a soft, amused laugh and gracefully slid off the edge of the table. He walked toward the window, catching his reflection in the glass as he admired the transformation and the perfect fit of the skirt.

"Keep my old body. The wrinkles, the receding hairline, all of it."

He smiled at his reflection.

"I've discovered that a woman with my new appearance and my old mind can dominate this market much faster. I'm going to make the most of this new body."

He turned, resting one hand on his waist and fixing Hanna with a sharp, superior gaze.

"The stock-transfer agreement is already waiting on your desk, 'boss.' Sign it, and in exchange, I'll teach you how to cover the tracks that could lead to your downfall."

Jacob's smile widened.

"And I'll teach you all the shortcuts I used to build this empire."

For the first time, Hanna realized the terrible truth.

She hadn't stolen Jacob's life.

She had given him a new one.
