Inevitable nature

Mariana had always known that marriage had its phases. The initial sparkle had worn off, and she noticed that her husband, André, was becoming more distant, more distracted. She had never expected him to betray her. Not from him. But when the messages on his cell phone appeared, it was as if the ground had collapsed beneath her feet. She was not just a betrayed wife; she was a woman with deep hidden knowledge, passed down through generations in her family. And although she had never resorted to this to solve her personal problems, this time she could not help it.

The urge to punish him, to teach him a lesson, was irresistible. "If he thinks he can have any woman..." she murmured, as she prepared the ritual with precision. "Then let him see what it's like to be in their shoes." The transformation was quick and brutal. In one night, André, without understanding anything, found himself trapped in a body that was not his. Long hair, curves where there used to be muscles, a sweet, feminine voice escaping his mouth. The initial shock was immense, but Mariana was clear: "You're not going to cheat on me again. Not like that." With that, she set off on a trip, something she needed to cool her head. She thought that when she returned, she would find a reformed André, humble and aware of his mistakes. Maybe even repentant.

After all, he would never dare cheat on someone again in that condition, right? But when she opened the door to her house weeks later, what she saw made her blood boil. André — now Andressa, as he had gotten used to calling himself — was on the couch with Luís, a friend from work. They were both laughing easily, but the intimacy in the air was clear. Mariana stopped at the entrance, unable to believe it. "You've got to be kidding me," she whispered, incredulous. Andressa stood up, surprised, trying to fix her messy hair. "Mariana, can I explain—" "Explain?!" she interrupted, her eyes shining with anger. "You really had the nerve to betray me... again!"

Andressa looked at Luís, visibly embarrassed. "Look, Mari... things have changed. I've changed... And maybe I've found someone who understands me now."

The silence that followed was suffocating, until Mariana, without saying anything else, turned and walked out the door. She felt the power of the magic slowly fading, but she decided to leave things as they were. He deserved that new life.

On a rainy afternoon, weeks later. Andressa, carrying a suitcase full of women's clothes, arrived at Luís's apartment door. She knocked and, when the door opened, there he was, with an awkward smile.

"Thanks for having me," Andressa said, adjusting her suitcase.

Luís shrugged, making room for her to enter. "Sure. It'll be... different. But I think we get along well this way."

She smiled, a mix of relief and uncertainty on her face. "Yeah... I think so too."
