She stole his place in the family and he found a way to take hers

Calm down... or things are going to get a lot worse for you.

You walked into our home knowing exactly what you were doing. My father was still shattered after my mother’s death. Vulnerable, lonely, easy to manipulate. And you—the "understanding widow" in her twenties—knew exactly which buttons to push. In less than a year, you were the new lady of the house. Within two, you’d managed to turn me into a thorn in your side that needed to be removed.

Boarding school abroad wasn't his idea. It was yours. You planted the seed, watered it with well-crafted lies, and reaped the harvest: the heir—his only son—shipped off across the ocean, far from any influence, far from the money, far from his father.

But you underestimated just how much I hated you.

I spent months digging. I listened to stories, bought objects, and spoke to people most pretend don't exist. Until I found the amulet. Small, ancient, unassuming... but powerful enough to do what I needed. To swap bodies. Not just temporarily. For real. Permanently, if I wanted.

And it worked.

Now here I am, sitting on this sofa you loved so much, wearing your body, your voice, your face... while trapped in my old body—the body of a teenager everyone already hates, the very body you convinced my father to cast aside.

You can scream, cry, and call this unfair. But it isn't. You played dirty from day one. I just leveled the playing field.

And there’s more: thanks to you, I (or rather, "me" in your body) am already seen as a hysterical, gold-digging liar. If you try to tell my father the truth... if you try to say that the woman standing before him is actually the son he sent away... no one will believe you. At best, they’ll think the boy from boarding school has finally lost his mind completely. And then, instead of going to school, you’ll go straight to a clinic with padded walls.

So think carefully about what you’re going to do from now on.

Because now, I’m the stepmother.

And you... are just the problem child nobody wants around.
