Sometimes life doesn’t change through a miracle — but through a poorly timed chemical explosion. And in the quiet of the farm at sunrise, Jason finally understood that some metamorphoses don’t ask for permission: they simply happen.

For Jason, it wasn’t just another morning on the farm. It was the beginning of a cycle he never could have predicted. The accident in the storage shed — an imprudent mix of pesticides, livestock supplements, and trapped humidity — should have been fatal. Everyone said he wouldn’t survive. But there he was, alive… and very, very different.

During the first days, he did nothing but mourn. Think it unfair. Ask himself over and over, Why me? But the mirror kept returning a body that was new, strange, delicate — and impossible to ignore. Not that he was ready to return to the hard labor of the farm. That definitely didn’t suit him anymore. Besides, his boss didn’t seem particularly interested in putting him back as a maintenance worker.
