Lucky Break?

Who would ever worry about being “chosen” for a dream vacation at the beach?

Well… Brian did. And with good reason.

For starters, he didn’t remember entering any contest. It wasn’t even his vacation time.
And worst of all — that sun-kissed body lounging by the pool wasn’t his.

When the Great Shift happened, everyone was caught off guard — literally switched into someone else’s body. Brian just happened to wake up in a luxury resort, trapped in the body of a woman who was clearly ready for some serious rest and relaxation.

For three long days, no one came forward to claim the body. All Brian could piece together about the real owner came from the phone’s biometrics: a few selfies, social media chats, and the name registered at the front desk. Everything was already paid for — the full vacation package.
It would’ve been perfect, if it weren’t so… weird.

So, he did the only thing that made sense: he called home.
His wife, thankfully — or perhaps cruelly — was one of the few not affected by the Shift. Now came the hard part: how on earth do you explain to your spouse that her husband is currently inhabiting the body of a total stranger? The new “marital dynamic” was bound to get complicated.

But eventually, Brian gave up on overthinking it.
He took a deep breath, slipped into the purple bikini — somewhat reluctantly — and decided to do what he hadn’t done in years: enjoy the day.
After all, none of this was his fault. And if fate had dumped him in paradise with everything paid for, maybe the least he could do was enjoy the vacation he never had the time, money, or energy to take.

There was just one tiny problem:
“Wait… are those guys really checking me out?” he thought, nervously brushing a strand of hair behind his ear.
“How am I even supposed to explain all this? Or… maybe I don’t have to explain anything at all.”

He smiled faintly, turned toward the water, and thought,
“Yeah… let’s just see what happens.”
