Summer Bet
A body recombination machine.
It was a strange device, full of buttons and a big central switch. After a few tests (some hilarious, others not so much), they realized it could fully customize a person's appearance. All it took was setting the parameters and pressing the button.
That’s when the idea hit them: the next bet would be for real. The loser would spend the entire summer as the housemaid. And of course, dressed accordingly. If they were going to gamble, it had to be with style—or humiliation.
The big match began: a heated game of virtual soccer. In overtime, David scored the only goal. And just like that, Julian became... Juliana.
The settings were entered into the machine, the button was pressed, and seconds later, there she was: dressed in the “uniform” they had designed—a provocative red outfit trimmed with white lace, a tiny skirt, and a maid's apron.
Juliana, not at all thrilled, began her punishment: she cleaned the house, did the dishes, organized the closets, even ironed clothes. At the end of the day, exhausted, she stepped into the machine and pressed the button to reverse the transformation.
Nothing happened.
She tried again. And again.
By the third attempt, panic was already visible on her face.
— “Dude, this can’t be real! We need to fix this! I’m not staying like this!”
— “I know, but I already tried everything. The panel won’t even turn on anymore. And it looks like that was the machine’s last charge. I think that weird symbol that changed every time we tested it might’ve been a counter...”
— “No way… Why did it have to be me?”
— “Bad luck, Juliana. If you had scored in overtime, I’d be the sexy maid right now.”
Juliana didn’t find it funny. David was technically right—the bet was clear. But in the end, it wasn’t just the summer she’d be spending like this. The machine was drained… and the transformation seemed permanent.
