Going out as her
“Dude, I can’t believe you’re actually wearing that!” Aron said, staring in disbelief. “It’s already insane enough that you and my sister swapped bodies, but showing up at the beach in that tiny scrap of fabric? Seriously?”
Jeffrey chuckled, casually adjusting his sunglasses.
“Chill out, man. This was in her suitcase, I didn’t exactly go shopping. And don’t forget—it was her idea. She didn’t want to miss her favorite band’s concert, and she didn’t want to look bad turning down a trip your dad spent a fortune on.”
“I get that,” Aron muttered, arms crossed, clearly uncomfortable. “I’m not even gonna get into how messed up this whole body-swap thing is. What’s bothering me is how much you seem to be enjoying this. You’re laughing, tanning, even flirting with random dudes on the beach!”
“I’m just following her instructions,” Jeffrey said with a shrug. “Her exact words were: ‘Have fun. Soak it all in.’ And let’s be real, she would’ve worn this bikini anyway. Whether it’s on her or me, the outfit’s the same.”
“That’s not the point!” Aron snapped. “It’s you! You’re getting way too comfortable in this role. I mean, come on—you didn’t even hesitate to play the ‘girly’ part. This is you we’re talking about. Mr. Alpha Male. Mr. Ladykiller. Now you’re out here strutting in the sand like it’s second nature.”
Jeffrey raised an eyebrow and gave a sly, almost mischievous smile as he adjusted the bikini top with surprising ease.
“I’ve always been curious about your sister. I never exactly hid that. And now I get to ‘go out’ as your sister. I mean… semantics, right? Or close enough.”
Aron just stood there for a moment, speechless, watching his friend—his sister?—walk and talk like this was just another day. Something about it unsettled him, and he couldn’t quite put his finger on what bothered him most.
“Anyway,” Jeffrey said, grabbing a beach towel and rising to his feet, “we’ve already wasted enough time talking. The sun’s perfect today, and I promised her I’d make the most of this little adventure. So… later.”
He turned and headed toward the water, leaving Aron standing in the sand, confused, annoyed—and maybe a little unnerved by how natural it all looked.
