Next move

"Lucas, I found something!" Carlos said, running down the hall with his notebook in his hand, panting, his voice full of urgency. He entered the room, but stopped halfway through the door, his eyes wide.

Oh, what's up, man..." He looked at Carlos with an air of someone who had been "caught red-handed", but tried to hide his embarrassment. "This... is just... just to see what it's like, you know? It's nothing special." — he tugged at the hem of his nightgown, trying to look uncomfortable, but the silk slid over his skin in a way that made him seem like he was enjoying it too much.

"Are you... kidding me?" — he finally found the words, trying to ignore how daring and impractical the nightgown was. — "I spent hours on the internet, trying to find a way to reverse this curse, and here you are... parading around in your ex's nightgown?"

"Man, this is... totally uncomfortable!" — he tried to feign indignation, but failed miserably. — "Who in their right mind would wear this to... I don't know, sleep?" — he tugged at the hem of his nightgown once more, although it was obvious that the light and silky fabric fell perfectly over his body.

"Sleep?!" — Carlos raised an eyebrow in disbelief. — "Lucas, this isn't exactly something someone would wear to 'sleep', do you understand me, right?"

"Okay, okay... I just thought... you know, since there's no way to escape this so soon, why not... try it? But it's just... scientific curiosity." — he fiddled with the strap of his nightgown with an absent-minded look. — "I mean, this silk is... I don't know, too soft, you know? I don't know how they hold up."

"Lucas, I was going to tell you that... that there's no turning back!" — Carlos shook his head in disbelief, as if he couldn't believe his own situation. — "I thought you'd freak out, get desperate... but then I come in here and see you twirling around in a sexy nightgown, like you just stepped out of a perfume commercial!"

"Okay, okay, I admit... it's not that bad." — he ran his hands over the silky fabric, clearly enjoying the sensation. — "But you don't understand, man. It's all so... different. The way I feel, the way the fabric touches my skin... it's a new sensation. It's kind of... I don't know, interesting."

"Are you listening to yourself? I'm here to tell you that the transformation is permanent, and here you are, trying on your ex's most daring clothes, as if that were... normal!"

"Hmmm..." — he narrowed his eyes, analyzing Carlos up and down. — "Wait a minute, Carlos... you seem a little... uncomfortable. Is everything okay?"

"What? No, everything's fine." — Carlos answered too quickly, raising the notebook in front of his body in an awkward way, his eyes fixed on the floor.

"Really? Because, I don't know... it seems like you're enjoying this a little more than you want to admit." — Lucas took a step forward, raising his eyebrow as he looked at his friend provocatively.

"Oh, stop it, Lucas! I'm here trying to help you and you... you're tripping. I'm just worried about the situation!"

"Worried? Oh, sure..." — Lucas crossed his arms, with a smile full of mischief. — "Worried about the spell or the fact that your 'friend' here is parading around in his nightgown in front of you, just waiting for your next move."
