Switched by Jealousy: A Marriage Rewritten by Magic

“Don’t even look at me like that, Dylan.”

His voice carried a mix of exhaustion and irony, the kind that only comes from a life gone completely off-script.

“My wife started getting paranoid, thinking we were spending too much time working together. And honestly? She wasn’t wrong. Over the last few months, we’ve taken so many business trips together that I barely stayed home anymore.”

He let out a dry laugh.

“When she wished to ‘spend more time with her husband’, no one imagined that whatever the hell listens to these things would answer by switching your bodies.”

He gestured around the room, as if the absurdity itself might finally collapse under scrutiny.

“The worst part? Now that you’ve switched, we’ve had to reorganize everything. Our routines, our schedules… my life. And I’m actually seeing you less than before.”

He paused, lowering his voice.

“And on paper? You’re my wife now. Which means we’ll need to figure out how to manage this marriage whether we like it or not.”

Dylan, meanwhile, was adapting far better than anyone expected.

He had already learned how to do his makeup, was experimenting with increasingly bold outfits, and seemed almost… comfortable. Too comfortable.

In fact, he was just waiting for his friend to make the first move.

Phase two, as Dylan called it.

Testing what married life really felt like.

And maybe—just maybe—finding a subtle way to make his friend notice that the look on his face wasn’t confusion anymore…
it was a very clear invitation to stop talking and kiss him already.
