A Polite Invitation to Stay

Some boundaries are broken by desire.

Others dissolve quietly, under the excuse of keeping things “normal.”

“Are you sure you don’t want to stay here with me tonight?”
She smiled lightly, almost disarming. “I don’t bite. And besides, we never really had a good father-in-law and son-in-law relationship. Maybe we could finally catch up.”

He straightened, clearly uncomfortable.

“Of course not, Mr. Montes. Clara told me everything. About the experiment that went wrong, about how you ended up in each other’s bodies.” He hesitated before adding, “And to make it worse… you pretending all of this is normal.”

She chuckled softly, unfazed.

“Oh, don’t be so harsh,” she replied, her tone calm, almost amused. “Trying to keep things normal doesn’t sound like such a bad idea.”

She leaned back slightly, perfectly at ease in a body that clearly knew itself.

“Besides,” she continued, eyes lingering on him a moment longer than necessary, “this body knows exactly what it likes.”

A brief pause.

“And looking at you,” she added, with a knowing smile, “it also knows exactly what it wants.”

The air between them shifted — no longer tense, but charged with something far more dangerous than awkwardness.
