The mysterious blonde
She let out a short, playful laugh, pretending to her boyfriend that she simply found “the mysterious hooded girl” funny. But inside, she savored the irony: she knew exactly who that girl was.
Maria had never liked Dave’s influence. To her, he was a walking spark of chaos, always dragging her boyfriend into late-night adventures filled with music, trouble, and, mostly, women. Dave and her boyfriend were inseparable, twin storms always plotting their next escape into places that made Maria roll her eyes.
Until one day, in a moment that felt almost like a spell cast out of irritation, Maria thought: If Dave loves being around those girls so much, why not let him experience that… fully?
And he did.
Now there Dave stood: new curves, a soft voice, a face that flickered between charm and nerves. A new life stitched over the old one. And though he tried to hide, there was a stubborn spark in those eyes, the will to reclaim a place in the world, to untangle what his story would become… and maybe discover who he truly wanted to be from now on.
And the worst part? Her boyfriend glanced over for just a second, just long enough to wonder “who’s that blonde?” He tried to hide it, pretended he wasn’t looking, but the flicker of interest betrayed him.
Maria had no idea she’d transformed Dave exactly into the type her boyfriend found irresistible.
Maybe her grand plan to keep them apart hadn’t worked at all.
Maybe, in some strange twist of fate, the two of them were about to become inseparable again, this time in a very different way.
